Forum on Investment and Partnership: Bangui Seeks to Attract More Capital

Bangui, October 30, 2025 – The Central African Republic has taken another step towards economic transformation with the launch of the “Forum on Investment and Partnerships” (FIP) in Bangui. The three-day event brought together government leaders, international investors, and local entrepreneurs with a clear goal: to turn words into action and position the private sector at the heart of national growth.

Building on the momentum of the highly successful Investment Round Table and the previous African Caucus, the forum marks the next major milestone in the country’s effort to attract capital, foster partnerships, and accelerate the implementation of its National Development Plan.

FIP: Empowering Local Entrepreneurs and Attracting Investors

With public and private investment currently representing around 15% of GDP, the forum – initiated by CARAT Investissements under the leadership of Ange Maxime Kazagui – aims to build investor confidence and showcase the country’s most promising business opportunities. Priority sectors such as agro-industry, energy, and infrastructure together represent an estimated USD 300 million in potential, according to the World Bank.

“CARAT Investissements initiated this Forum with the main goal of attracting foreign investors to the Central African Republic, while also showcasing our local economic operators who already carry strong and credible projects,” explained Ange Maxime Kazagui, Founder of CARAT Investissements. “It is also about highlighting the readiness and capacity of banks and financial institutions to effectively support our SMEs and mid-sized companies.”

A Forum Backed by the Government

Supported by the government, the FIP Forum demonstrates the authorities’ commitment to improving the business climate and strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors. For the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, it is both a symbol of continuity and a sign of progress.

“After the African Caucus and the Casablanca Round Table, this business meeting represents a major opportunity for our country,” said Thierry Patrick Akoloza, Minister of Commerce and Industry. “It shows the government’s determination, because without its support, this forum could not have taken place. It is proof that we are working tirelessly to improve the investment climate in the Central African Republic.”

Turning Vision into Action

Over the course of three days, B2B meetings, thematic panels, and project presentations highlighted the opportunities that exist within the Central African Republic’s key growth sectors. More than just a business event, the forum provided a tangible bridge between policy commitments and private sector engagement, reinforcing the country’s ambition to become a destination for responsible investment and sustainable growth.

By bringing together decision-makers, entrepreneurs, and financial institutions under one roof, the Bangui Investment Forum underscores a clear message: the Central African Republic is ready to move from vision to implementation, transforming momentum into measurable results.
