Among the most significant initiatives launched under regarding women and girls is the Gender-Sensitive Infrastructure and Women’s Economic Empowerment Project, a $30 million flagship program designed to transform the lives and future prospects of women across the CAR.

The construction of gender-sensitive infrastructure and the fight against violence against women are two of the major projects focussing on the country’s women under the leadership of Dr. Marthe Augustine Kirimat, Minister for the Promotion of Gender, Protection of Women, Family and Children of the Central African Republic.

The World Bank will invest more than $2.3 billion in support of the Central African Republic’s National Development Plan 2024-2028, reassured Marlène Susie Nzengou, Alternate Executive Director of the World Bank Group for the Central African Republic in an interview with Africa24.

Abdou Diop, President of the Africa Commission of the Moroccan Employers’ Confederation (CGEM), outlined Morocco’s vision of supporting the Central African Republic (CAR) on its path toward stability and economic transformation in an in-depth conversation with Africa24.
