Casablanca, October 22, 2025 – A month after the Investment Round Table, the powerful words of Nadia Fettah Alaoui, Morocco’s Minister of Economy and Finance, still resonate with force and clarity as the Central African Republic is beginning to turn ambition into action. Her message in Casablanca was both a call to action and a statement of solidarity: “The Central African Republic has defined a solid vision,” she declared. “For these projects to have a real impact, commitments must be translated into concrete outcomes on the ground”, she highlighted.
Speaking before President Prof. Faustin-Archange Touadéra and an audience of ministers, investors, and international development partners, Alaoui emphasized Morocco’s determination to stand alongside the Central African Republic as it transforms its national vision into a new phase of growth and opportunity.
A Partnership Rooted in Action
Alaoui praised the Central African Republic for its efforts to consolidate political stability, launch structural reforms, and articulate a clear national vision for the future. The National Development Plan, she noted, embodies this ambition — one that seeks to strengthen governance, diversify the economy, and promote inclusive, durable growth.
“The success of this plan,” Alaoui emphasized, “requires a collective effort — from bilateral and multilateral partners, as well as from private investors. The Kingdom of Morocco answers this fraternal call.”
Under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, Morocco has long positioned itself as a champion of African solidarity. Alaoui recalled the country’s experience in driving reform, modernizing infrastructure, and fostering private sector development — lessons Morocco is ready to share to help translate the CAR’s development vision into practice.
Investing in People and Priority Sectors
In her address, the Minister outlined key areas where Moroccan–Central African cooperation can accelerate progress: energy, infrastructure, agriculture, digitalization, food security, education, and health.
To illustrate Morocco’s ongoing contribution, Alaoui cited one of the most visible forms of support — education. “Over 1,000 Central African students have already graduated from Moroccan universities,” she said. “Five hundred are currently enrolled, and each year, 250 more receive scholarships — totaling 1,000 new graduates over the PND period.”
This educational cooperation, she added, embodies Morocco’s belief that development begins with people — especially the youth, whose skills and innovation are vital to Africa’s emergence.
A Call for Innovative Financing and Public-Private Partnerships
Alaoui also highlighted the need for innovative financing models and closer public-private collaboration to ensure the sustainability of investments. “The success of the PND will depend on a balanced mix of public financing, guarantees, and mobilization of private capital,” she said.
Echoing Morocco’s broader South–South cooperation vision, she stressed that regional integration and innovation are key to unlocking Africa’s potential:
“Regional cooperation, South–South partnerships, and financial innovation are the keys to Africa’s emergence. Morocco stands ready to act as a catalyst and facilitator for the success of the National Development Plan.”
From Vision to Reality
Closing her address, Alaoui called for sustained engagement and measurable results — a sentiment that captured the spirit of the entire Round Table. “Beyond declarations,” she said, “our goal is to build a pragmatic and lasting partnership, grounded in results and service to our peoples.”
Her words, resonating across the Casablanca conference hall, reflected both Morocco’s solidarity and its conviction that Africa’s future will be built through cooperation, innovation, and shared responsibility.
“Together,” she concluded, “let us transform the potential of the Central African Republic into real projects — for its people and for our continent.”
